Responsibilities of Council

The primary responsibilities and functions of the Alphacrucis College Council are:
  • to appoint the Principal as the chief executive officer and monitor his/her performance;
  • to approve the mission and strategic direction of the College as well as the annual budget and business plan;
  • to oversee and review the management of the College and its performance;
  • to establish policy and procedural principles, consistent with legal requirements and community expectations;
  • to approve and monitor systems of control and accountability;
  • to oversee and monitor the assessment and management of risk across the College;
  • to oversee and monitor the academic activities of the College;
  • to approve significant commercial activities of the College;
  • to approve the Annual Report of the College; and
  • to positively contribute to the growth and development of the College through fostering excellent external relations.
