ABOUT THE BACHELOR OF LAWS
A premier legal education, grounded in ethics and the rule of law.
The Alphacrucis School of Law aims to be a premier provider of legal education in Australia. The LLB programme is designed to develop higher-order professional skills — critical thinking and analysis, problem-solving, advocacy and persuasion, research, communication and collaboration — together with a genuine commitment to ethical decision-making and respect for others. Students are taught how to think, not what to think.
The course is led by a Foundation Dean with more than 20 years in Australian legal education, guided by an advisory committee of practising barristers and senior legal academics, including former Deans of Law and recipients of national honours for services to legal education. Students of all backgrounds are welcome.
COURSE FEATURES
Key features of the Bachelor of Laws.
Ethics and professional responsibility
The course is designed to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional responsibility. Graduates will be distinguished by their character, intellectual and ethical integrity, and commitment to service.
The founding cohort
First intakes are deliberately small, providing direct access to the Foundation Dean and teaching staff, and the opportunity to help establish the culture of a new law school.
A Christian learning community
Alphacrucis is Australia’s largest Christian university college. Law students study within a community of peers and mentors across ministry, business, education and social work. Students of all backgrounds are welcome.
Research, writing and advocacy
The LLB programme is especially designed to deliver superior research, writing and communication skills — teaching students to research thoroughly, reason cogently and argue effectively.
CAREER PATHWAYS

Practising lawyer
Solicitor, barrister or in-house counsel — advising, advocating and representing clients.
Politics & public policy
Contribute to law-making and policy development in parliaments, parties and policy teams.
Government & public service
Departments, regulators and courts rely on people who understand how the law works in practice.
Advocacy & human rights
Represent and support others through NGOs, legal aid, international bodies and community organisations.
Business & not-for-profits
Contracts, governance, risk and negotiation — legal training is highly valued in any organisation.
Leadership across sectors
Churches, schools, enterprises and boards — legal training equips leaders in every sector.
