Rev Dr Kyoung-Jin Kim

Professor of New Testament

Professor Rev. Kyoung-Jin Kim is currently the Director of Academic Affairs in Korean Department. He was once a Professor of New Testament and Dean of Graduate School of Christian Studies at BaekSeok University, Seoul, Korea, for more than 25 years. His primary area of expertise is the Synoptic Gospels, particularly the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles in the New Testament Studies. His monograph Stewardship and Almsgiving in Luke’s Theology (Sheffield Academic Press, England, 1988) which is a slightly revised version of his PhD dissertation at the University of Glasgow, UK, shows clearly what his main concern is in the New Testament Studies. He has been teaching theology for more than 25 years at BaekSeok University and the followings are his areas of teaching; Synoptic Gospels, New Testament Ethics, Pauline Epistles and his Theology as well as New Testament Greek.

Kyoung-Jin completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1980, a Master of Divinity in 1986 at ChongShin College and Seminary, Korea, and a Master of Education in 1987 at Seoul National University, Korea. He completed his PhD in 1993 at the University of Glasgow, U.K.
