Rev. Dr Samuel Cheon

Rev. Dr. Samuel Cheon is a professor of Old Testament. He graduated from Yonsei University (B.Th.), Presbyterian Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Yale University (S.T.M.) and Graduate Theological Union (Ph.D.). His primary research area is the wisdom literature and biblical interpretation of the intertestamental period, in which Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha were produced as well as Asian biblical interpretation. He produced many articles and books in Korean and English, including The Old Testament Apocrypha (1995), The Exodus Story in the Wisdom of Solomon(1997), Genesis Commentary(2001), Wisdom Tradition and Wisdom Literature(2009). He is a member of Society of Biblical Literature and Society of Korea Old Testament Studies. Samuel teaches in the areas of Old Testament theology and research methodology at Alphacrucis College.
