About this Opportunity:

We are looking for a spirited and creative Digital/UX Designer to join our in-house team. We're on the lookout for a talented individual with a passion for visual storytelling and a unique perspective to help shape the digital landscape for our audiences. Working closely with the Marketing Director, you will play a pivotal role in redefining our future website, as well as crafting visually compelling digital media that aligns with our brand image and resonates deeply with our diverse audiences.

We are ideally seeking a full-time or close-to-full-time position in Sydney, but for the right candidate, we are open to alternative work locations and arrangements.

Alphacrucis University College (AC) is an accredited Christian higher education provider with a reputation for excellence in training, teaching and research. AC’s main campus is in Sydney, Parramatta, with thousands of students throughout Australia and around the world, learning online or in mixed (online + Face to face) modes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Transformation: Take the helm in presenting Alphacrucis across all public-facing channels, spearheading a significant project to restructure, redesign and refresh our main website. Contribute to the evolution of our visual and brand identity with a fresh and unconventional touch
  • Craft Compelling Campaigns: Generate innovative campaigns and digital assets for the launch of new courses, intakes, and events such as masterclasses and study tours. This involves creating captivating landing pages, emails, social posts, and dynamic Facebook/Instagram ads and reels. Your work will iterate based on engagement and performance metrics, ensuring our digital presence is both impactful and authentic.
  • Tell our Story: Work on creative projects, including videos, to showcase brand and student/alumni/employer stories. Bring a unique perspective to the storytelling process, making our narratives visually arresting and spiritually resonant.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Digital Design Prowess: A minimum of 3 years of digital design experience, backed by a strong portfolio showcasing your journey from idea to implementation in digital design and website design.
  • UX Insight and Experience: Experience working with a UX lens, demonstrating an understanding of user stories and journeys. Expertise in Information Architecture and Interaction Design will be highly valued.
  • Can-Do Attitude: A positive, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a focus on delivering results. We're looking for someone who thrives on challenges and finds innovative solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work autonomously. Initiative and self-motivation are key.
  • Innovative Spirit: Be innovative, resourceful, and adaptable. We value creativity in problem-solving and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Team Player: A team player with a desire to contribute and collaborate. Your creative input and ability to work seamlessly within a team are crucial.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in design and video production software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro). Experience in website content management systems (WordPress, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus.
  • Continuous Learner: Be committed to staying abreast of the latest industry trends, particularly related to AI design and video techniques and tools.
  • Visual Storytelling Mastery: A great eye for video editing and video production.
  • Diverse Skills: Experience with Photography/HTML is advantageous but not essential.
