About this Opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to contact and follow up potential students; understand and match their needs with AC courses; and guide them in their application into AC’s Diploma, Bachelor or Masters courses.

Your new team:

Alphacrucis University College (AC) is an accredited Christian higher education provider with a reputation for excellence in training, teaching and research. AC’s main campus is in Sydney, Parramatta, with thousands of students throughout Australia and around the world, learning online or in mixed (online + Face to face) modes.

We offer qualifications from VET Certificates to Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in Ministry, Theology, Business, Education, Social Science/Counselling, Music/Media and Chaplaincy. Our vision is to be a global Christian university, transforming neighbourhoods and nations.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving new student application and enrolment targets each semester.
  • Following up (via phone calls, emails, direct text/chat messages, face-to-face campus visits, campus and external events) future student enquiries and be the “voice” of AC and the first point of human contact for these future students.
  • In the follow up conversations and process, make a genuine human connection with enquirers, understand their needs, pain points, goals and match these with the right AC course.
  • Qualifying which enquiries are genuine and which are not (either due to lack of interest, change of circumstances, inability to fund studies, or inability to meet our entry criteria).
  • Answering questions and supporting future students with their online applications
  • Attending AC Open Days, Events and Expos (both physical and virtual)
  • Occasional travel to attend external events - career expos, conferences, and school/church visits to engage with future students (this may involve local and interstate travel)

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • A Bachelor degree would be favourable, but not essential. Studied at AC or similar type college or similar type course helpful.
  • Proven experience in a phone-based sales environment. Possessing a high level of emotional intelligence and solid interpersonal skills. The ability to be focused and assertive in managing conversations.
  • A strong drive for personal achievement and success, comfortable with benchmarks and motivated by targets.
  • Organised and detailed-oriented in follow up and tracking activities in AC’s CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Understanding of the mission of higher education within the church
  • Good people skills, communication skills and customer service outlook.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Well organized.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith that informs one’s professional and personal choices and commitments
  • A genuine passion for connecting with people and helping them
  • Experience with similar kinds of sales admin process and system.
