About this opportunity:

To provide ongoing support to international students studying at Alphacrucis with their academic and campus participation and progress within the programs, as well as supporting them from enrolment through to graduation and beyond. The Liaison will work proactively with students to support their orientation to learning and adjusting to living in Australia, and other tasks related to the onboarding, progression, and retention of international students.

  • Work directly with the Student Experience Team, Heads of Schools, and Program Directors to ensure academic guidance, development and support are given to students
  • Develop opportunities, support, and referral services for international students,
  • Administration related to international student needs and compliance.
  • Assist in building and planning structure and processes for international students
  • Administrative duties to ensure systems are maintained for student information, e.g., extension requests, plagiarism
  • Liaise with the Student Experience team and Program Directors for further activities to enhance the student experience.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an Australian university or other recognised Australian or international institution of higher education.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith that informs one’s professional and personal choices and commitments
  • Successful experience in academic administration activities
  • Experience working with international students and intercultural settings
  • Understanding of the mission of higher education and vocational training within the church
  • Strong skills in essay writing, grammar, and other academic skills.
  • Knowledge of software relevant to academic administration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of intercultural dynamics and communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within expected timeframes
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management/organisation
