About this Opportunity:

To represent Alphacrucis University College (AC) in assigned Teaching School/s with a primary focus on stakeholder engagement, student support and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coordination and oversight of AC’s partnership with the allocated Teaching School/s, including representational functions as delegated by the Head of the School of Education (HOS).
  • Ensure students in the Teaching School/s and region are engaged with their studies and lecturers and receive efficient and beneficial help when required, including optional support and facilitation.
  • Create or participate in events that assist students to develop a connection to AC and with each other.
  • Liaise with the Teaching School/s, in consultation with lecturers and Education Operations Coordinator regarding course offerings in the relevant programs, including calendars and timetables.
  • Ensure the implementation of AC policies and procedures in the Teaching Schools
  • In consultation with the School of Education focus on the strategic growth and expansion of the Teaching School/s, and implement strategies to ensure this growth occurs.
  • Interact with the relevant faculty regarding student academic progression and issues related to duty of care.
  • Represent AC to the Christian community and general public as delegated by the HOS Education.
  • Promote AC to prospective students and schools.
  • Assist with Tertiary Supervision visits for Hub students and other students as requested by the Director of Student Placements.
  • Participate in the various faculty and organisational committees as required.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Completion of, or willingness to complete, a Higher Degree by Research;
  • Completion of Bachelors or Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • Worked at an executive or senior level in a Christian school
  • Understand the mission of vocational and higher education in churches and Christian schools;
  • Experience working in the Higher Education sector.
  • Proven leadership, people and communication skills;
  • Successful experience in academic administration;
  • Understanding of HE and VET systems and processes
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Practicing Christian with active Church involvement
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Overnight/multisite stays away for work may be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Clean driving licence essential
