About this Opportunity:

This role is responsible for leading the research into and programme evaluation of the National Embedded Cross Sector Teacher Education Pilot (NECSTEP) programme.

Responsibilities:

  • In consultation with key stakeholders, provide sophisticated and validated research design for evaluating NECSTEP Teaching School Hubs, including other AUC Hubs for breadth of sample, and the broader educational research literature both domestically and internationally;
  • Ensuring Regional Directors and Hub Directors receive efficient and beneficial help when required, including optional support and facilitation; • Develop and produce annual evaluation outcomes reports;
  • With the NECSTEP Executive Director, budgeting and allocation management of human and capital resources within the research component of the NECSTEP Programme;
  • Assist the NECSTEP operations manager with the organisation of the National Conference; • Building and leading the research team into a high functioning and unified group;
  • Assist with the implementation of AC policies and procedures in NECSTEP; • Representing the College to the Christian community and general public as delegated by the NECSTEP Executive Director;
  • Participating in the various faculty and organisational committees as required;
  • Participating in the life of the College when required and when possible.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Completion of Doctoral degree in a human science discipline.
  • Evidence of quality design and management of research projects relating to the school educational workplace, the tertiary workforce, and/ or other workplace contexts
  • Evidence of recent high level peer reviewed publications in relevant journals / books
  • Evidence of recent academic conference presentations
  • Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education in Christian- affiliated and State schools;
  • Evidence of effective management of research teams and budgets
  • Evidence of successful research grant applications desirable
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to lead, assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Overnight/multisite stays away for work will be occasionally required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check
  • Evidence of an active Christian Faith, including active participation in a Church Community
