About this Opportunity:

The Accreditation and Standards Officer exercises a crucial administrative support role at Alphacrucis College (AC) in coordinating and supporting a broad range of activities including review and improvement activities, monitoring performance against academic development plans, and accreditation projects. This role would suit a candidate with diligence, attention to detail, capacity in written communication, and exceptional organizational ability. Previous experience in higher education or VET accreditation or administration is preferred but not required.

  • support coordination of accreditation applications and notifications such as course developments and accreditations, course reviews, and notifications to TEQSA, ASQA and other government and regulatory bodies;
  • oversee systems to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards);
  • oversee the maintenance and review of AC’s Policies and Procedures Manual;
  • oversee the maintenance and review of AC’s course pages and subject outline repository;
  • coordinate and analyse the data provided by QILT surveys and the VET Learner Questionnaire;
  • coordinate the completion of various internal compliance assessments;
  • represent AC in external forums as required;
  • member of various committees as required;
  • perform other occasional duties as the Director of Learning and Standards or Vice President Academic may require.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • previous experience and demonstrated excellence in high-level and detailed administration;
  • specific experience in academic administration, including familiarity with Australian Higher Education Standards and VET Quality Framework, is preferred but not required;
  • attention to detail and ability to manage large projects, including collaboration with various stakeholders;
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • advanced skills in written and oral communication;
  • ability to think logically and solve problems;
  • commitment to the Christian faith and understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education within the Church;
