  • Take responsibility for communication with international students, partner colleges and education agents during the admission process
  • Evaluate and process international applications in line with GTE requirements
  • Liaise with Program Administrators to monitor international student enrolments and course progression to ensure that visa requirements are being met
  • Evaluate and process applications for Leave of Absences and Transfers
  • Review international student appeals with the Registrar
  • Assess refund requests and communicate outcomes with Accounts department
  • Report on international student data and progress to AC’s committees
  • Understand challenges, implement procedures, and maintain AC’s compliance in relation to ESOS Act 2000, National Code 2018, CRICOS and SSVF (Simplified Student Visa Framework)
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to international students and education agents
  • Perform various other administrative duties as required by the Registrar

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Ideally a VET or HE qualification
  • Experience in an administrative role is preferrable.
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience, including students, agents and other staff.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
