About this Opportunity:

The Multimedia Developer /Videographer will work collaborative in team with the AC videographers in the planning, designing, and creation of effective multimedia learning resources. This will include audio, video, animation, and interactives for AC subjects. As part of the ODL team that supports faculty across all AC campuses providing digital content for VET & HE online, flipped, and blended classes and technology assisted on-campus classes, the multimedia designer’s work will meet standards befitting of best practice in online education.

About the Office of Digital Learning (ODL):

Comprising academic and professional staff, the ODL is an integral link between AC’s Academic Board and schools and faculty, providing a centralised support service for digital learning and teaching based on international benchmarks, educational theory and research, and the informed use of educational technology. ODL’s central priority is to foster high-quality, holistic, student-focused learning experiences by providing services and strategic direction in relation to:

  • Learning experience design and learning technologies
  • Student engagement and success
  • Quality assurance and academic integrity
  • Academic skills development in students
  • Equipping and supporting faculty

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum undergraduate tertiary qualification in design, multimedia, technology, video recording and production, or other relevant discipline
  • Experience developing high-quality multimedia learning resources for Higher Education
  • Experience with camera operation, video editing, directing, and design

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Skills required to operate industry standard multimedia recording equipment and using Adobe suite software including Premiere Pro, Indesign, Photoshop, Audition, media Encoder, etc., to produce high-quality multimedia learning resources efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using high-definition cameras, operating lighting and audio equipment and grip gear, video editing, and guiding staff during recordings.
  • Knowledge of pedagogical approaches and principles that inform the design of multimedia learning resources that effectively support student learning.
  • Experience with multimedia production pipelines and processes.
  • Knowledge of the tools, technologies, and approaches that are emerging in the sector and the ability to contribute to evaluating the educational potential of these to help meet AC's strategic learning and teaching plan.
  • Knowledge of relevant accessibility standards and the application of these standards into multimedia and video production processes.
  • Strong self-management with problem solving and creative skills, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Able to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Bi-lingual – English and Korean preferred
