About this Opportunity

The Student Support Officer is responsible for guiding and supporting students from their first orientation to their graduation. They will work proactively with other departments to provide timely and accurate advice to students, as well as generate opportunities for increased student engagement. They will connect students to Alphacrucis University College’s range of support services and build structures within the Student Support Centre to improve communication efficiency and information accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing the Student Support Centre, responding to emails, phone call enquiries, and being available for face-to-face dropins and pre-booked meetings with students.
  • Analyzing student interaction data to identify opportunities for improved services and products.
  • Developing process improvements for support centre operations.
  • Creating and managing short-term projects that contribute towards student life at AC.
  • Guiding students through a range of programs and systems, including the Student Management System, the Learning Management System, Library System, Studiosity, and Grammarly.
  • Work alongside other departments to maintain clear communication to students regarding academic progress and advice.

Required Skills and Proficiencies

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience in customer service (required)
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Product suite
  • Understanding of the Higher Education and Vocational Training sectors.
