About this Opportunity:

The Teacher Assistant (TA) reports to the Head, School of Pathways Programs and work closely with the Director of Vocational Education Training in Schools (VETiS) and Program Directors. The TA role facilitates unit delivery by performing a number of delivery related administration tasks such as preparation, during term administration and post term administration.

  • Use the SMS to support student enrolment matters
  • Use LMS for a range of delivery related administration, including subject rollovers and setup
  • Follow-up on student progress
  • Handle student cases as and when they may arise
  • Provide assistance to staff in matters related to unit delivery
  • Assist with unit reporting
  • Assist in other duties as may be designated

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an Australian university or other recognized Australian or international institution of higher education
  • Familiarity with the VET sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within expected timeframes
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent team skills
  • Time management/organisation
