AC approved for Self-Accrediting Authority!

Alphacrucis College approved for Self-Accrediting Authority

Alphacrucis College (AC) is very pleased to announce that it has just been granted Self-Accrediting Authority by the national higher education regulator, TEQSA. Receiving Self-Accrediting Authority is a vital requirement for AC to move towards becoming a university. Of the 128 Private Higher Education Providers in Australia, only 8 (including AC) are currently self-accrediting. AC’s Chief Executive Officer, Assoc Prof Stephen Fogarty, is delighted about this new development, “Obtaining Self-Accrediting Authority is an exciting next step for AC in pursuing the goal to become a Christian university”.

This successful Self-Accrediting Authority application is a sign that TEQSA endorses the quality and integrity of AC. TEQSA found AC to have a “history of successful operation as a higher education provider including systematic, mature internal processes to assure and maintain the quality of its courses, academic standards and academic integrity”, as well as a “proven history of successful graduate outcomes”.

From certificates through to PhD level programs, in Business, Education and Theology, AC already has a range of awards, and Self-Accrediting Authority gives AC the ability to expand these offerings as required. With over 3000 students across VET and HE, AC has growing campuses in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Auckland, as well as partner colleges throughout Australia and in Finland.

This successful application for Self-Accrediting Authority is a key milestone for AC in achieving its vision for university status.
