This unit explores the foundations of the Pentecostal movement. The unit begins with a brief overview of Pentecostal History and the Biblical foundations of Pentecostalism. The Theological Distinctives within Pentecostal Movements, Pentecostal Praxis, Pentecostal Leadership, and Evangelism, Church Growth and Community Engagement from a Pentecostal Perspective, will also be examined. Students will also be given ample opportunity to engage creatively with these topics to make connections with their own contexts.

2. Examine relationships between the various facets of Pentecostal ministry praxis, such as the Bible, theology, preaching, healing, worship, leadership, structure, community, and global engagement;
3. Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of global Pentecostal church dynamics and practices;
4. Analyse the relationship between worship, preaching and leadership;
5. Critically analyse how Pentecostal and Charismatic expressions of social and global engagement can be enhanced by other perspectives and understandings of the broader community.
