Outcomes
- Understand the issues for youth in contemporary Australian Society and how they are perceived by both young people and the adults around them;
- Recognise how these issues impact on the lives and choices of youth and if there is a societal flow-on effect;
- Research the elements of larger Australian/global culture that impact on these issues – positively or negatively;
- Develop strategies for working non-judgementally and empathically with young people around issues relating to gender, sexuality and social identity and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
