Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline the parameters and procedures related to the Australasian Pentecostal Studies journal.

All delivery sites of Alphacrucis University College (AC).
Policy
The Australasian Pentecostal Studies (APS) journal is a regional peer-reviewed academic publication of AC Research, featuring scholarship in theology, biblical studies, ministry, and other areas related to the study of Pentecostal and charismatic movements. The administrative oversight of the journal is the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board. APS is an open-journal, free of subscription fees.

Appointment of Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief of APS is appointed for a term of 3 years, by the Research Committee. Candidates are identified through a nomination process that is open to all AC faculty; self-nominations are acceptable. The Research Committee appoints the most qualified candidate based on a number of criteria including familiarity with one or more of the disciplinary foci of the journal and prior editorial experience. Upon completion of one’s term, the Editor-in-Chief may request to continue in the role for another term, which the Research Committee could grant based on satisfactory management of the journal. An Editor-in-Chief, however, may only serve for two consecutive terms.
Appointment of Editorial Board
The journal’s Editorial Board is appointed by the Editor-in-Chief. The Board consists of at least seven members, including members external to AC, whose academic expertise aligns with the foci of the journal. The members of the Editorial Board primarily serve as reviewers as well as advisors to the Editor-in-Chief.
Appointment of Associate Editors
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the Chair of Research Committee, may appoint one or more Associate Editors to assist with the editorial process. The appointment of Associate Editors is based on need for assistance with workload and/or need for wider disciplinary expertise. Associate Editors are appointed for a term of 2 years, renewable.
Peer-Review Process
Full-length articles that are submitted to the journal will undergo a blind peer-review process involving at least two reviewers for each submission. The editors are responsible for identifying appropriate reviewers and overseeing the timely progress of the review process.
