Michael oversees the Early Child Programs within the School of Education at AC. In his career, he has served as an Educator within OOSH and vacation care services throughout Sydney, a HSIE Secondary Teacher (specialising in Ancient History and Business Studies) working for the NSW Department of Education, and an Associate Lecturer and Course Coordinator within the School of Education at Excelsia University College.
Michael has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Ancient History and Management) and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Sydney. Michael’s research interests include assessment and pedagogical reforms in response to generative artificial intelligence; he recently co-authored a journal article which examined how well Open AI’s Chat-GPT could be utilised to complete higher education assessments. He is also working on a book chapter on the role philosophy can play in shaping a sense of citizenship in the Australian context
