Korean Diaspora Studies Centre

The School of Korean Language Programs at Alphacrusis University College (AC) was founded by Dr. David Kwon in 1996. Dr. Kwon and his wife, Hanna Kwon, pioneered Korean churches in Asia and Australia for several years. Dr. David Kwon served for 22 years as dean of Alphacrusis University, and Dr. Oh-Young Kwon succeeded him in 2018. Dr Hye Young Woo has been the current dean since 2024.

The School of Korean Language Programs offers various courses, from associate Bachelor's to doctoral degrees. It also contributes to the Korean diaspora community by delivering multiple pastoral training seminars that serve thousands of pastors across Australia.

The Korean Diaspora Research Center regularly holds academic forums and seminars to create an active scholarly research culture.

한인 디아스포라 연구 센터

알파크루시스 대학(AC)의 한국학부는 1996년 권다윗 박사 (David Kwon)에 의해 설립되었다. 권 박사는 권한나 (Hanna Kwon) 사모와 함께 아시아와 호주에서 한국 교회를 개척했다. 권다윗 박사의 알파크루시스 대학에서 22년 동안의 탁월한 섬김 후, 2018년에 권오영 (Oh-Young Kwon) 박사가 Dean으로 부임하였었고 2024년부터 우혜영 (Hye Young Woo)박사가 학장으로 섬기로 있다.

한국학부는 성장을 거듭하면서 준학사부터 박사과정까지 개설하고 있으며, 더욱 넓은 한인 디아스포라 공동체에 기여하기 위해 AC 한국학부는 다양한 목회자 훈련 세미나를 개최하면서 호주 전역에 걸쳐 수천 명의 목회자들을 섬기고 있다.

또한 한인 디아스포라 연구 센터는 정기적으로 학술 포럼과 리서치 세미나를 개최함으로 활발한 학문적 리서치 문화를 만들어가고 있다.
