PhD candidate Aziza Green has recently been featured in two national media interviews highlighting her pioneering research on digital theology. In an interview on the 20twenty podcast, she explores the intersection of faith and digital culture, offering insight into how church leaders and congregations can cultivate “digital wisdom” through intentional, theologically informed practices. In a second interview with Hope 103.2 Radio, she outlines practical strategies to guide Christian engagement in online spaces with integrity and purpose.
Aziza’s doctoral research, titled “Approaching Digital Wisdom: How Do Christian Ministry Leaders Understand and Apply Digital Literacies to Participate and Lead in Digital Contexts?”, investigates digital ministry practices across a range of Christian traditions. Her research is shaped not only by her academic work but also by her experience serving as an online campus pastor at Horizon Church, a role that gives her a unique perspective at the forefront of digital ministry.
As digital spaces increasingly shape how communities of faith gather and grow, Aziza’s research equips leaders to respond with theological depth and practical clarity. It exemplifies the kind of practical, forward-looking work that is being developed in AC’s research community.
