The HDR Summit provides an exciting opportunity for Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates to engage with the AC research community through two program streams:
- HDR Research Presentations
All HDR candidates attending the Summit will present their research to peers and select AC faculty members in a supportive scholarly environment designed to encourage constructive feedback, interdisciplinary dialogue, and academic development. - Research Development and Expert Sessions
The Summit will also include sessions led by experienced researchers and academic leaders on topics relevant to HDR success and academic development, including publishing research, working collaboratively with co-authors, and navigating the publication process.
The HDR Summit will be held on Thursday, 13 August 2026, and will be followed by the prestigious annual Cartledge Lecture later that evening.
HDR candidates are also warmly encouraged to attend the Cartledge Symposium on Friday, 14 August 2026, which brings together leading scholars exploring Pentecostal studies and the contribution of Pentecostalism to church and society today.
HDR candidates wishing to attend the Cartledge Symposium will present their research only within the HDR Summit program.
Participants in the HDR Summit may attend the Cartledge Symposium at a 50% discounted registration rate.
A limited number of travel bursaries are available for interstate AC HDR candidates requiring assistance with travel and accommodation costs.
