On 13 August 2026, AC’s Graduate Research School hosted its inaugural HDR Summit at the Sydney campus, bringing together higher degree research candidates and faculty from across the University College. The Summit marked an important milestone in the development of AC’s research culture, creating a dedicated forum for emerging researchers to present their work, exchange ideas across disciplines, and build stronger scholarly connections.

Throughout the day, HDR candidates shared their research with peers and faculty in an environment that fostered constructive feedback and intellectual exchange. The program also featured sessions led by senior researchers and recent doctoral alumni, offering practical insights into collaborating with co-authors and navigating the publication process. The Summit will be run again next year as AC continues to focus on growing a community of researchers who are equipped to extend the reach and impact of their work.
