Alphacrucis Wellbeing Centre

Alphacrucis University College is committed to supporting and promoting the wellbeing of our students. The AC Wellbeing Centre offers support for developing healthy wellbeing strategies, managing personal challenges, and accessing practical tools for maintaining study-life balance, as well as connecting students with mental health support services.
AC offers free counselling and professional supervision services through the AC Wellbeing Centre. These services are provided by intern practitioners who are AC students completing their studies in Counselling or Professional Supervision.  They are overseen by qualified and experienced practitioners.  These services are delivered online, via Microsoft Teams. Both services are available throughout the semester, subject to availability.
Counselling
Intern counsellors (Master of Counselling or Bachelor of Applied Social Science students) offer support in areas such as study stress, anxiety, low mood, and lack of motivation. Please note: this is not a crisis service. If you’re concerned with your safety or the safety of someone else, please call Lifeline – 13 11 44, or Mental Health Line – 1800 011 511.

Stress LESS Study Skills Workshops
Most students find it difficult to balance the demands of study and assessments with the other responsibilities in life. You are not alone!! When we feel that demands outweigh resources, we feel stressed. Thankfully there are ways to help balance these demands and resources, which help us to STRESS LESS.
The AC Wellbeing Centre offers several 45-minute workshops over the semester, introducing students to ways they can manage stress more optimally – believe it or not, stress is not all bad! Following the workshops, students also have an opportunity to engage with one-on-one help with an intern counsellor, in follow up sessions, if further support is required.
