Unit Content

Outcomes

  1. Choose and describe a relevant educational leadership issue and justify the selection
  2. Collect, revise, and critically evaluate pertinent academic literature related to a specific educational concern, including the epistemological and philosophical foundations of relevant leadership and education theory
  3. Construct a comprehensive literature review that adequately reflects the breadth of research available with particular attention given to biblical perspectives concerning the issue
  4. Assess gaps in the literature and recommend possible future research that could contribute to further understanding within the educational leadership with recommendations

Subject Content

  1. Choosing an educational leadership problem or issue
  2. How to conduct an extensive literature review that will place that problem or issue in a broader context and from a biblical perspective
  3. Reformulating the problem or issue in light of the literature review
  4. How to identify gaps in the research, based on the literature review, in order to make recommendations for further research

  • Intensive (5 days of classes/7 hours per day followed by 85 hours reading, writing and assignments)
  • Extensive (5 days spread over the semester)
