Outcomes

Upon completion of this subject, students should be able to:

  1. Explain the foundational role of information systems within an organisation, and their emerging strategic role.
  2. Select and apply the appropriate concepts to real-life IS cases in order to solve problems and/or identify new opportunities.
  3. Communicate information system management issues in written and presentation materials.
  4. Demonstrate advanced research skills by locating and selecting materials using libraries, the web and other sources of information.
  5. Critically evaluate the underlying theories, concepts, assumptions and arguments in information systems management.
