The NextGen Scholarship is a three-year program designed to support and empower Year 12 graduates and young adults in their tertiary studies at Alphacrucis. In line with Alphacrucis University College’s mission to “equip Christian leaders to change the world”, this scholarship invests in future young Christian leaders by making an AC education more accessible.
Why it Matters: Transitioning from high school to university can be daunting. NextGen offers support so students can focus on their God-given purpose, growth, and development without having to worry about finances. It’s not just about financial aid, it’s about affirming a student’s calling and potential.
For parents, it provides confidence that your child’s education is in a values-driven environment that also provides career outcomes. For youth pastors and church leaders, it’s a pathway for your young people to grow academically and spiritually.
Applicants must be under 21 years of age at the time of application. This typically includes Year 12 students or those who have recently completed high school.
NextGen only applies to those enrolling in a bachelor’s degree at Alphacrucis. All 13 bachelor’s degrees are included – from Ministry and Theology to Education, Business, Arts, and more.
This scholarship is intended for domestic students – Australian citizens or permanent residents (including NZ citizens) who will study on campus or online with AC.
NextGen Scholars are typically young people with a passion for Christian leadership and service. If you’re active in your church, youth group, or community, this scholarship is for you.
Receive a 20% tuition fee reduction for three years of your bachelor’s degree, making your degree significantly more affordable and easing financial pressure on you and your family.
Whether you feel called to Education, Business, Ministry, Counselling or any other field Alphacrucis offers, the NextGen Scholarship applies. Follow your passion and calling without restriction.
Being a NextGen Scholar means you’re recognised as an emerging leader. Access mentoring opportunities, leadership development, and join a like-minded community on campus.
With a portion of fees covered, experience less need to juggle excessive work hours, allowing more focus on studies, ministry involvement, and personal growth.

Eligibility is primarily based on age and enrolment status. If you're 20 years or younger when you apply and intend to study a full bachelor's degree with us, you're likely eligible. You don't need to be dux of your school – this isn't solely academic-merit based. It's about giving faithful, motivated young people a chance.
Yes, all 13 undergraduate bachelor's degrees at AC are covered – from Theology, Ministry, Education, Business, Social Science, Music, and others. Whether you study on campus or online, you can receive the scholarship. Part-time students under 21 also qualify with proportional benefits. The scholarship applies for the first three years of study from your commencement date.
We have a limited number of scholarships available each year. However, essentially every qualified applicant who applies on time has a very strong chance of receiving it. We encourage early applications because scholarships are allocated on a rolling basis.
We expect NextGen scholars to remain in good academic standing. You should generally pass your subjects and engage responsibly with your studies. The scholarship is awarded for up to three years from the start of your degree and is renewable each session based on satisfactory academic progress and conduct.
The NextGen Scholarship is available regardless of tuition payment method. This include direct payments, as well as FEE-HELP loans.
The scholarship cannot be combined with any other funding that reduces tuition fees including a teaching school hub scholarship/cadetship or a government-funded Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).
