What happens when theology meets the arts? Find out at this free Alphacrucis seminar
A string quartet. A novel about beauty and suffering. The poetry of Emily Dickinson. All of these will be explored in a seminar on Tuesday 9 June from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the Brisbane campus
This free event brings together musicians, theologians, and literary scholars for an afternoon exploring what the Christian faith and the arts have to say to one another.
The afternoon will feature:
Live music, as the Aether Quartet performs a movement from Antonín Dvořák, String Quartet No. 12 in F major, Op. 96 1st movement.
Dr Peter Kline of St Francis Theological College turns to literature and visual art, leading a reflection on Sofie Laguna’s acclaimed novel Infinite Splendours alongside an exhibition of an original painting.
Dr Ben Myers of AC will explore the religious imagination of the American poet Emily Dickinson.
Refreshments will be provided.
