About this Opportunity:

The Quality and Standards Coordinator exercises a crucial administrative support role at Alphacrucis University College (AC) in coordinating and supporting a broad range of activities, including but not limited to corporate and academic governance, quality assurance, course accreditation, academic integrity, benchmarking, and third-party management. These activities are aligned to the Higher Education Standards Framework, VET Quality Framework, and National Micro-credentials Framework, as well as AC Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate administrative functions in relation to governance through the role of Secretary to various governing bodies, including Academic Board, Learning and Teaching Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, Accreditation Committee, and others as required;
  • Coordinate policy reviews, and maintain AC's Policies and Procedures Manual, including currency on the AC website;
  • Assist in the collation and analysis of data relating to the identification and mitigation of risks;
  • Assist with the implementation of systems and processes to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) and VET Quality Framework;
  • Support the coordination of renewal of registration and CRICOS applications, as well as course accreditation and re-accreditation applications;
  • Maintain and review AC's course pages and subject outline repository;
  • Assist with the coordination of institutional quality assurance activities such as benchmarking, monitoring, review, and continuous improvement of course delivery;
  • Assist with the coordination of various internal compliance audits and reporting requirements;
  • Coordinate the analysis and reporting of QILT data to relevant stakeholders
  • Participate as a member of various Committees as required;
  • Represent AC in external forums as required;
  • Perform other occasional duties as the Director of Quality Assurance and Standards may require.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
  • Previous experience in higher education and/or VET, in a compliance and quality assurance role;
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework, VET Quality Framework, ESOS Act, and National Code;
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all modes – written and verbal.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish tasks to a high quality within timeframe given and implement administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
