About this Opportunity:

The Registrar provides leadership for AC’s student administration and student support functions including admission, orientation, enrolment, student support services, and graduation. The Registrar is tasked to ensure that all students studying at AC have a high-quality experience of admissions and enrolment, are adequately supported administratively and academically through the entirety of their academic journey from initial enrolment to graduation. This includes identifying areas of strategic focus and implementing systems and processes that ensure continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

Alphacrucis University College (AC) is an accredited Christian higher education provider with a reputation for excellence in training, teaching and research. AC’s main campus is in Sydney, Parramatta, with thousands of students throughout Australia and around the world, learning online or in mixed (online + Face to face) modes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership at AC in the area of student administration and student support to achieve successful, efficient and student-centric operations.
  • Oversee student administration and support functions, including application, enrolment, progression, attrition, completion.
  • Drive efficiency and improvement initiatives in these areas to optimise student experience and integrity of student records.
  • Implement, report, review, and improve on all plans within the purview of Student Experience, such as Student Services and Support Plan, and the Diversity and Equity Plan.
  • Develop and oversee student support services and initiatives such as disability services, LOTE student support services, and other student-related services as required.
  • Work with stakeholders across the college to facilitate effective and efficient administration and student service processes.
  • Provide leadership as business owner of the student management system.
  • Provide team management in the processes of budgeting, hiring, training, workload allocations, and staff management.
  • Build a vibrant and capable team.
  • Serve on Academic Board, Executive Team, and other committees as required.

  • Fulfil other duties as required by management.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Completion of a higher education qualification.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith.
  • Understanding of higher education and experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of implementing improvements to registry processes strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education within the church and community.
  • Knowledge of current and good practice in registry and student support services in the wider sector.
  • Evidence of leadership, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project planning and implementation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in team management and ability to supervise and motivate staff of various ages.
  • Demonstrated initiative and personal drive to achieve objectives.
  • Proven people skills grounded in a genuine respect for others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, building trust and confidence to achieve common goals.
