Answers
- What is the difference between the different Masters awards?
- Master of Arts (Christian Studies) (MACS) This masters program is designed to equip students with an understanding of and appreciation for the theological and spiritual horizons of the Christian faith. Available full time/part time in Parramatta, Brisbane and Global Online.
-
Master of Theology (MTh) This postgraduate course empowers graduates (BTh or BMin or MACS) with an advanced knowledge in areas of Theology, Biblical Studies and Christian History. Available full time/part time in Parramatta and Global Online.
-
Masters of Teaching (Primary) (MTE) This masters program is for students who are teachers or desire to be teachers. Available full time/part time in Parramatta.
- If I am currently in the MA(CS), can I transfer to the MTh?
This would depend on your entry level into MA(CS) and your current progress. The MTh award allows for cross credit of four 500-level subjects but no 400 level subjects. Please discuss the potential of this transfer with your relevant program director.
- If I have graduated with a BCM/BTh and am currently in the MACS, can I transfer to the MTh?
Yes. However, your best pathway forward would depend on the number of subjects you have already completed in the MA(CS). Please discuss the potential of this transfer with your relevant program director.
- Do I have to transfer to the MTh?
No, if you would like to continue and complete the MA(CS) – you may. We would recommend that all 1st year students to transfer.
