I would like to transfer to one of the new undergraduate awards (BTh, BBus or BBus/BMin) - how do I do this?
  • If you are currently studying BCM at AC and would like to transfer to BTh, BBus, or BBus/BMin, please fill out a Transfer of Award Form.
  • If you are a BCM student and would like to transfer to the BMin – this will automatically occur for you. There is no further action you need to take.

If I have graduated with a BCM can I apply for the BBus/BMin?

Yes. We will provide you with cross credit exemption from your BCM studies into the BBus/BMin award. Then you will need to make sure that you complete the additional business study requirements (12-18months study) of the combined degree. See the BBus/BMin award page.

Back to questions ↩

If I have graduated with the BCM can I return it and graduate with a BTh or BMin?

No. As you have already exited the award and your candidature has expired.

Back to questions ↩

What if I am a current student (who has not yet graduated) and I have completed all 24 units within the BCM now (or will by the end of 2013), will I still be able to transfer to one of the new awards and graduate with it?
  • Unfortunately no, as you are a BCM candidate you will graduate with this award. The reason being the accreditation for the BTh/BMin/BBus commences from March 2014.

  • However, if you wish to take extra subjects in 2014 within the new undergraduate awards and you fulfil the required course structure of that new award, you will be eligible to graduate with this at a later graduation ceremony. But please discuss the potential of this transfer with your relevant program director.

Back to questions ↩

Will I be able to complete the new awards online?

Yes. All the undergraduate core units and some major specialisations are currently available online. The major specialisations currently not on offer will continue to be developed and rolled out throughout 2014/15.

Back to questions ↩

Will all of my BCM subjects or previous exemptions (ie from a Dip or Ad Dip) transfer to the new awards?

Yes, all your current studies will transfer across to any of the bachelor awards. (Some of the subject names and course codes are slightly different in the new awards, but all your studies will be matched appropriately.)

Back to questions ↩

If I am a current BCM student, am I required to transfer to the BMin or BTh?

No, if you don’t fill out a Transfer of Award Form, you will automatically be a BMin student. But if you would like to transfer to the BTh you will need to fill out a Transfer of Award Form.
