About this Opportunity

The Student Progressions Officer will assist in the processing, maintenance,

and accuracy of student records under the supervision of the Head of Student Progressions. They will be involved in the student journey from enrolment to graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Process enrolments, withdrawals, and other student-related requests.
  • Assess and respond to enquiries from faculty, staff members, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and configure the student management system (Quercus) by setting up fees, courses, student records and grades.
  • Assist with the management of graduation, including assessing completions, printing, and organization.
  • Process grades and assist in grade moderation and student intervention implementation.
  • Work alongside the wider team (Student Onboarding, Student Support and Compliance) as needed.
  • Develop and implement processes that will enhance the student experience

Required Skills and Proficiencies

  • The completion of a VET or HE degree (desired)
  • Experience in an administrative or customer-service role.
  • Experience within a tertiary institution (desired)
  • An understanding of the VET and HE sector.
  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
