This subject is highly practical, involving constructive peer feedback and weekly in-class concerts.  Students will perform solo and in ensembles, across a wide range of genres.  Focus will also be given to key performance techniques including audience perception, performance stress, and holistic preparation.

Curriculum Objective

This course unit provides an introduction to Biblical and Theological foundations of worship alongside an examination of contemporary Christian expressions of worship.

Outcomes

  1. Appraise musical performances;
  2. Diagnose an audience’s engagement with and appreciation of performances;
  3. Organise effective performance preparations and rehearsals;
  4. Employ appropriate exercises to extend technique ;
  5. Prepare and perform pieces that extend student’s repertoire.
