This unit is offered as a part of the following awards:

Describe and reflect on the biblical purposes, roles, principles and outcomes of research in a Christian educational context;
Critically evaluate key philosophical paradigms and traditions implicit in scientific research methodology and practice through a biblical framework;
Appraise the methodological consistency of research with the questions, research approach (methods) and ethical considerations applied;
Describe and design ethical and justice-based research, considering issues related to validity, reliability, transparency, sensitivity, benefit, and reflexivity in research;
Design a research proposal addressing an education challenge or gap, including the development of research questions, justification, methods, analysis strategies and ethical considerations reflective of a biblical perspective;
Clearly and coherently communicate ideas (at postgraduate standard) in a range of written forms, including making sound judgement, engaging in the process of evaluating, and generating structured planning and report writing in accordance with academic conventions and in alignment to the latest APA referencing guidelines.
