Details for Professional Experience

This 10-day Professional Experience (PEX) placement is in an early childhood setting in which the Teacher Education Student (TES) will be working with children aged between birth and 35 months. The TES will be required to develop caring attachments with babies and professional relationships with parents and other educators. Additionally, TES will be required to observe babies, plan, and evaluate play-based learning experiences based on their theoretical studies, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and reflect on their developing teaching skills. This placement is done in conjunction with EDU214 Praxis and Pedagogy of Play and aims to provide the TES with the skills to become a pedagogical leader in an early childhood education and care setting.
