  1. Express how underlying pre-theoretical worldview assumptions are formed and their effect on education theory and practice
  2. Describe the relationship between Christian scriptures and worldviews
  3. Summarise and critically evaluate the role of worldview liturgies in the development of human virtues, practices and relationships;
  4. Compare and contrast the contours of contending worldviews within current mainstream culture and their implications for educational vision and practice
  5. Critically appraise one’s own educational practices in light of the Christian scriptures, worldview grounds and cultural contours

  1. Beyond perspectives: What is this thing called “worldview”?
  2. Beyond ideas and rationality: We are what we love
  3. Beyond Scripture: The Bible, the gospel and worldview formation
  4. Contending worldviews: Formation and counter-formation in a time of “secular” liturgies
  5. From worship to worldview: Christian worship and the formation of desire
  6. Christian education for lovers: Desire, direction and education
  7. Re-Imagining the world

This course may be offered in the following formats
