Details for Church and Not-for-Profit Law

This subject develops the student’s ability to apply non-profit governance and regulation to contemporary church situations. Students will learn about the current legal framework in which Australian Church and NFP organisations operate and will explore the historical relationship between the Church and NFP organisations and society. Students will also analyse the ethical and theological dimensions of the regulation of churches and church-related NFPs, and assess the major public policy issues behind recent and proposed changes to Australian governing NFP’s law.

Upon completion of this subject, students should be able to:
