Outcomes

Demonstrate a systemic and critical understanding of complex and advanced ministry issues;
Demonstrate an expert ability to autonomously and analytically engage in critical reflection, synthesis and evaluation of specific ministry contexts;
Critically assess and apply effective pastoral theology and ministry models as they relate to individuals, groups and/or situations;
Propose a topic of research on a contemporary ministry issue and develop an articulate research approach;
Display an advanced level of integrative reflection which will inform and enhance ministry practice.

Research traditions and paradigms
Theories and conceptual tools to better understand ministry practice
Pastoral theology, ministry models and ethical issues
Quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods in the field of Christian ministry
Data analysis, validity and reliability in research
Theological method and interpretation

This course may be offered in the following formats

Distance/E-Learning (online)
Intensive (One week: 7 hours per day for 5 days = 35 class hours + approx 95 hours out of class time for research, writing, exam preparation and execution, ancillary activities associated with completion of assigned tasks.)
