This practicum is not just about free help to your church's worship team; it is about encountering the on-the-ground issues that daily arise in building, managing and leading a worship team. Not only will you actively engage with the worship ministry, you will analyse and assess its strengths and weaknesses and contribute to the improvement of the department. What you learn here, will put everything else in context and give you the invaluable practical experiences to set you up for pursuing your call.

Curriculum Objective

This course unit provides an opportunity to learn through the practical application of the skills and knowledge gained in other worship units to a particular context. At the same time, various components of worship ministry are explored in greater depth in class.

Outcomes

Analyse pastoral interactions within a Worship Team;
Select administrative tools that best serve the Worship Teams’ needs;
Assess Worship Teams as they perform in the context of a service/meeting;
Design and plan an event involving the Worship Team;
Create original or develop existing material for the Worship Team’s use either internally or for corporate presentation.
